About Lynn

I have throughout my life competed in many sports, running marathons and long-distance cycle events, including several Grand Tour climbs and some epic rides in the USA and Europe. 

 

I have been a fitness, mind and body coach for 27 years and I am extremely passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with clients and other instructors. 

 

I qualified at American College of Sports Medicine at Brunel University and became the Studio Manager for 2 years at a private fitness club in Hove. During my career I have worked for several well-known private sports clubs as an Instructor and have built up a strong following. 

 

I have recovered from Thyroid cancer twice and am committed to leading a healthy stress-free lifestyle.

My Passion

My passion is the anatomy and how the body works. Therefore, my main aim is to help clients reach their goals, be it weight loss, fitness, core strength, alignment, mental health, mindfulness or specific injuries. I see each client as an individual with specific needs and I aim to help them achieve this. 

 

I have been running a small studio in Ditchling, East Sussex for the last 15 years, with 6/8 people in a class making it more personal and have over the last 2 years expanded to running classes online.

I have many clients through referrals from Sports Masseurs, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths that come to me for Pilates and Yoga.

 

I have run Yoga and Pilates Retreats in Turkey, Sri Lanka, Spain and France over the past 8 years.

My Experience

Pilates: 

I trained with Michael King in Matwork Pilates, thereafter with Stott Pilates in Matwork, Reformer, On the Ball, Pregnancy Pilates and Specific Injuries.

 

Hatha Yoga:

I did my initial Hatha Yoga training in 2001 and did a further 200 hours training in 2019 through Yoga Alliance. In the same year I did a further course in Yin Yoga.

 

Ashtanga Yoga:

In 2017 I trained in Ashtanga yoga in Greece with Kristina Karitinos who was the wife of Derek Ireland, who was the Pioneer of Ashtanga Yoga. 

Both trained with K.Pattabhi Jois who was an Indian Yoga Guru who developed Ashtanga Yoga. 

 

Strength & Endurance: 

In 1998 I trained with Les Mills and became a Body Pump Instructor, then added Body Balance, Body Combat and Body Attack to my portfolio. 

 

Cycle:

I am a Reebok and Schwinn Cycle Instructor and more recently I qualified with ICG Training Watrate Power and Coach by Colour.

 

PT:

I am also a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer.
